Air Arms S400 .177 12 fpe: partial stripdown

Disclaimer: if and when you decide to follow these instruction, please be aware that I cannot be held responsible for any physical or mechanical damage that might occur.

- First remove the muzzle brake.

- remove the stock screw and take the action out of the stock.

- remove the 6 screws to loosen the breech block.

- lift the breech block from the tube and slide the barrel out of the 8-clamp.  Be careful not to lose the o-ring between breech block and air tube.

- loosen the screw on the bolt to remove the bolt.  This screw can be very tight.  This is not necessary if you don't want to take the bolt out.

- remove the screw at the back of the cylinder to reach the hammer and hammer spring.

- there's a little bit of pressure on the end cap because of the hammer spring but it's not very pronounced.

- partially exploded view.
